Our Story

Elegant and refined

After a long hiatus, Traverse Alpine Group is excited to bring The Boat Shed at Hume Resort back into action as a premier venue for Albury and surrounds. Overlooking the spectacular Weir, Lake Hume Resort is just 10 minutes from Albury airport and an easy 15-minute drive from the twin cities’ CBDs.

This Iconic Albury Venue is brought back to Life!

The Boat Shed’s expansive, casual chic outdoor space is the perfect backdrop for a long, lazy meal with a view and the ultimate destination for relaxed family lunches and lakeside weekend brunch. The style is elegant and refined with a soft, neutral colour palette.

The Boat Shed is now also offering fully-catered wedding packages and great spaces for that super important business function.

The Boat Shed has been refurbished with a coastal, casual vibe channeling ‘the Hamptons’ interior design style that has come to represent elegant and relaxed lake shore living. A lush garden, bespoke lighting and chairs, a colour scheme in contemporary stripes of white, light grey and navy are all complemented with vibrant modern Australian cuisine and a sophisticated wine list.

“Opening the Boat Shed as a dining destination and function venue has given Traverse Alpine Group an ideal opportunity to bring the precinct back to life by offering a great selection of food and beverage options. We encourage residents and tourists to visit the Hume Weir and enjoy all that the precinct has to offer,” says owner Rosy Seaton.

Traverse Alpine Group has applied its successful formula, evident throughout its portfolio of successful Falls Creek venues – Astra Bar and Restaurant, Cloud 9, the Frying Pan Inn, and Huski Kitchen – to this iconic lakeside venue.
